"One Head Is Better Than None."
After years of plodding along punching the rock 'n' roll clock
in other bands, Sir Jeffers and Christina Kingston decided the time was right for a new gig and their own sound.
Seizing an opportunity to combine punk-rock
energy, trip-hop cool, sultry psychedelia, bloozy grit and
"on the one" funky fun, they pulled it all together
under one sound–not to mention one head! With songwriting
that fuses comic absurdity and sonic adventurism, this sly
and spunky duo quickly established their own warped groove.
Kingston's arresting voice and Jeffers' insurgent
guitar anchor the vibe for these two multi-instrumentalists,
who also create a host of homemade samples to flesh out their
sound (sometimes aided by noisemaking cohort Zach Zhigin and
other guests). The Dog spins aural tapestries that can veer
from a minimal soundscape to a plush chaos in a heartbeat.
They say every dog has its day.
